About the centre

A Southeast Asian hub for antimicrobial biomaterials.

CABI-SEA — the Center for Antimicrobial Biomaterial Innovation in Southeast Asia — was founded at Prince of Songkla University to advance nature-derived solutions to one of the most urgent public-health challenges of our time: antimicrobial resistance.

Our mission

To discover, develop, and deploy novel antimicrobial biomaterials — grounded in Southeast Asian biodiversity — for healthcare, agriculture, and industry.

Our vision

A world where safer, sustainable, nature-based antimicrobials replace the compounds driving resistance today.

What we stand for

  • 01Scientific rigour — every claim earned in the lab.
  • 02Translational focus — research designed to reach real users.
  • 03Regional roots — Southeast Asian biodiversity and talent, first.
  • 04Open collaboration — with industry, academia, and government.
